D-009 Naive/Realism Out Now

We like to think that we are above others when it comes to our own biases. We have the tendency to believe that we see the world around us objectively, and that people who disagree with us must be uninformed or irrational. This behavior credits perceptions, which in of its own is an externally-driven and internally-dependent narrative.

For the D009 collection, DOMESTIK explores a construction of images that features abstract and provoking symbols. We believe that the hierarchy of insight was sourced from the collected data, obtained information, built knowledge and received wisdom—with context and understanding aligned with each other. Because, no matter how much you’re hyper-aware about something, the next person will always think that you’re stupid when the opinions don’t match.

After all, we don’t see things as they are… we see things as we are.
